Founders
An idea born
in a refugee camp
The idea for Impact Box took shape in Gyöngyvér while working at the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), travelling on missions across Africa and the Middle East. At Dadaab — at the time the world's largest refugee camp — she saw firsthand what it means when someone cannot be an active participant in their own life.
Returning home, she launched Impact Box together with Dávid — designer, tech entrepreneur, and co-founder — in 2019. They believe that people are restored not by occasional handouts, but by dignified, value-creating work.

People on the autism spectrum
Under their BeSweet brand, young people with autism craft premium artisan chocolates. Erzsi and her team provide dignified work to over 35 people — a trade that keeps customers coming back.
Blind & visually impaired makers
Blind and visually impaired craftspeople shape ceramics on the potter's wheel. In this small village, they employ 90 people — including those with intellectual disabilities. Each piece carries fingerprints, patience, and care.
Roma mothers
Roma mothers, led by Marika who is raising six sons on her own. From the forest's gifts — mushrooms and medicinal herbs — they craft premium products. A community that once struggled to find work has built a sustainable livelihood.

Every product is made in Hungary — short supply chains, minimal transport footprint, and every forint spent has impact at home.
Most products are made from natural, locally sourced ingredients — with vegan, chemical-free, and allergen-free options available.
FSC-certified recycled cardboard, natural wood-wool filling, compostable packaging — every component can return to nature.
Our packaging is done by colleagues with changed work capacity at a social employment centre — social and environmental impact in a single step.
